MARK 2:13 And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
AFTER WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT BY JESUS, WE ARE READY TO SERVE. AS HE PASSES BY AND SEES US LISTEN TO HIS VOICE AS HE CALLS, SIMPLY OBEY. IF HE SAYS FOLLOW ME, THEN GET UP AND FOLLOW HIM. HE SEES US IN OUR EVERY SITUATION. IN THIS SCRIPTURE HE SAW LEVI, THE TAX COLLECTOR. THIS JOB WAS NOT OF GREAT REPUTATION. IT WAS NOT A POSITION OF HONOR TO A LOT OF PEOPLE. JESUS CALLS US FROM EVERY TYPE OF JOB. LET'S BE AWARE AND FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRT SO THAT WHEN HE CALLS WE GET UP AND FOLLOW HIM.
